The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
